·      Narendra Nayak appointed as Managing Director of BlackBerry India. He remained executive at IBM, Motorola and Digital Equipment India etc.
  • China abandoned its One Child Policy.
    The policy was introduced in 1980 to curb the population while earlier in 2013, ethnic families and rural couples allowed to have one more child if first one is girl.
  • BRICS nations signed Moscow Declaration for supporting multilateral science projects during 3rd meeting of BRICS nations for science, technology and innovation.
    Dr.Harsh Vardhan led the meeting as an Indian delegation.
  • Union Ministry of Women and Child Development launched an initiative to spread awareness about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme partnered with Celltick Mobile Media India Pvt. Ltd.
  • Bindeshwar Pathak, awarded with New York Global Leaders Dialogue Humanitarian Award.
  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has allowed non-resident Indians (NRIs) to subscribe to the National Pension System (NPS) enabling them access old age income security.
