- An Indian short film, An Old Dog’s Diary, directed by Shai Heredia and Sumona Goel has won the best short film award at the 2015 London Film Festival (LFF).
- The 46th International Film Festival of India(founded in 1952) will be held from 20th to 30th November 2015 at Goa.
- The Union Health
Ministry has modified the National Blood Policy, blood banks will now
be able to borrow units from one another in case of a shortage. Important Points:According to the Central Drug Standard Control Organization CDSCO, India has 2,760 licensed blood banks.
- Panel headed by Manish Sisodia(Deputy Chief minister) with a Group of Ministers to examine enhancing punishment for those found guilty of Raping minors has been set up by Delhi Government.The panel will examine whether probe related to rape cases can be made time bound and will also look into the possibility of fixing the minimum punishment as life term or death penalty.The panel will consider a proposal to lower the age of Juvenile crime from 18 to 15 years.
