- The 3rdedition of the Summit is being held from 26 October to 30 October 2015 at New Delhi.
- The India-Africa
Forum Summit is the official platform for the relations between India and
African countries.
The 1st edition of this Summit was held from 4 April to 8 April 2008 in New Delhi. The event was attended by heads of state from 14 African countries.
The 2nd edition of India-Africa Forum Summit was held at Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) in 2011. - A strong earthquake measuring 7.7 shook Pakistan and Afghanistan on 26th October 2015 killing at least 150 people.The earthquake also shook north India with tremors that lasted almost a minute.
- 26th October 2015 was observed as National Day of Austria. On this day in the year 1955, Austria declared permanent neutrality after World War II and regained status as an independent and sovereign nation.Details of Austria :

& Justice has notified that the Delhi High Court Amendment Act, 2015,
which received the assent of the President on 10th August 2015, has been
brought into force from today.
This Act provides for
enhancement of pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts of Delhi from Rs.
20 lakh to Rs. 2 crore.
- The NDRF, India’s elite disaster mitigation combat force, has tied up with about 30 PSUs in order to develop mutual understanding and enhance capabilities to jointly tackle man-made or natural emergencies.NRDF - National Disaster Response Force
- Geeta, a deaf-mute Indian woman who accidentally crossed over to Pakistan more than a decade ago, made her much-cherished arrival in India to meet her long-lost family on 26 October 2015. In Pakistan she was adopted by Bilquis Bano Edhi, a noted philanthropist of that country.
- A newly-installed Tsunami early warning system siren was successfully tested in Mumbai on 26th october 2015.The siren and a digital electronic board is part of a system for issuing early warning in case of a tsunami threat in the Indian Ocean region.
- Abhishek Verma Makes History in Archery World Cup Final by becoming First Indian to Win Silver Medal in CompoundIndian Archer Deepika Kumari has also won Silver medal at the Archery World Cup in Mexico city. This is her 4th Silver medal in 5 years.

Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton won his third Formula 1 World Championship to become only the second British driver after Sir Jackie Stewart to achieve the feat. Lewis Hamilton (Britain) joined the elite group of triple Formula One world champions as he won the US Grand Prix in thrilling finish on 25 October. His earlier F1 titles were in 2014 and 2008. In 2008 Hamilton won the title competing for McLaren team while 2014 and this year’s title came through Mercedes team.
- Underworld gangster Chota Rajan, one of India’s most wanted criminals who has been on the run for nearly two decades, has been arrested in Bali by Indonesian police today.
