- Prime
Minister launches Pradhan Mantri
Ujjwala Yojana at Ballia to provide 5 crore Cooking gas connections to
beneficiaries in three years
- Aim: To provide cooking gas connections to 5 crore
below-poverty-line beneficiaries over the next three years.
- Prime
Minister Narendra Modi also launched Rs. 8,000 crore
scheme to provide 5 crore free LPG
connections to Below Poverty Line (BPL) using the money saved from 1.13 crore
cooking gas users pledge on “Give it Up” compaign.

Minister Narendra Modi launched solar powered boats and distributing 1,000 e-rickshaws to people in Varanasi
- Andhra
Pradesh is preparing to become the first
state in the country to cent percent of

Naval Ship (INS) Airavat of India arrived at Brunei and will take part in the
ADMM Plus (ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus) Exercise on Maritime Security
and Counter Terrorism from 01 to 09 May 16.

plus Ex MS & CT is a multinational exercise of ADMM Plus countries group.
This edition will commence at Brunei and conclude at Singapore.

the course of the exercise the Indian Navy would engage with participating
navies from various ASEAN and other countries through professional interactions in harbour

Employee One EPF Account system on labours

- Indian Navy’s first indigenous Scorpene-class
stealth submarine Kalvari has been
sailed out of Mumbai Harbour for sea trials with this feet India’s defence
preparedness is set to get a shot in the arm.

submarine will go through a set of sea trials in the next few months that
includes surface trials, diving trials, weapon trials, Noise trials, then she
would be commissioned into the Indian Navy as INS Kalvari.
