- Thai and Malaysian leaders have On September 11, 2016 announced that they are
considering building
a border wall to
combat transnational crime and smuggling.
- The two
countries already signed a security cooperation deal to step up intelligence
sharing against cross-border terrorism.

comes after bombings in Thai tourist towns in August allegedly by Muslim
separatists, according to police.

two-day International
Buddhist Conclave is
going to be held during 3rd and
4th October 2016 at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh.
- Aim : To promote Buddhist sites in Bodhgaya and Sarnath.
- This
conclave is being organised by the Tourism Ministry of India.

and foreign delegates from over 40 nations are expected to attend the meet.

an immediate relief to Tamil Nadu.
- Note : Karnataka also sought to decrease the number of days to 6.

- Spanish-made Talgo train, which became the fastest train in India after

kmph in
July, successfully completed its last Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani route trial On

train covered the route in 11 hours and 48 minutes.
- Note : This is a four-hour relief from the Rajdhani which takes
around 16 hours to complete the 1,388 km distance.
