1.On 9th, November  (2nd Thursday of November) is World Quality Day.

a.Aim of World Quality Day : To increase worldwide awareness of the important contribution that quality makes towards both organisational and national growth, and prosperity.

b.Theme of World Quality Day 2017 : ‘Everyday Leadership'

2.On 9th, November  (9th November) is World Usability Day.

a.This day was established in the year 2005 by the Usability Professionals Association, (now the User Experience Professionals Association).

b.Aim of World Usability Day :  to promote the values of usability, usability engineering, user-centered design, universal usability, and every user's responsibility to ask for things that work better.

3.Prince of Wales Charles Philip Arthur George, accompanied by Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles, arrived in New Delhi On 9th, November  on a two-day visit to India.

a.It is part of their 10-day four nation tour to Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and India.

b.This visit, the 9th of the Prince of Wales to India, is aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.

4.In a first, a 45-member Indian Air Force contingent is participating in the two-week-long Blue Flag military drill with the air forces of Israel and eight other nations. 

a.The drill is aimed at exchanging intelligence on interoperability and counter-terrorist operations.

5.On 9th, November  (9th November) is National Legal Services Day.

a.This day was first started by the Supreme Court in the year 1995 all across the India to offer help and support to the weaker and poor group of sections of people (women, disabled persons, Scheduled Tribes, children, Scheduled Castes, human trafficking victims as well as natural calamities victims).

6.Shyam Saran Negi, who cast the first vote in Independent India in 1951, On 9th, November  voted at Kalpa polling station during Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. 

a.The 100-year-old, who has reportedly never missed an opportunity to vote, was deputed as the polling officer at Kalpa booth in 1951. 

7.The government has set a target of 18 billion digital transactions for 2017-18.

a.It has already seen 10 billion digital transactions across platforms from April to October, and hopes to add eight billion transactions in the remaining five months. 

8.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reduced its order for printing bank notes in this financial year to 21 billion pieces. 

a.This is the lowest in five years compared to 28 billion pieces last year. 

9.All general, life and standalone health insurers must link existing and new policies with customers' Aadhaar and PAN with immediate effect, insurance regulatory body IRDAI announced On 9th, November . 

a.Note : The government has already called for linking bank accounts, PAN cards and mobile connections with Aadhaar.

10.India has slipped to 7th position in the Business Optimism Index in September quarter, from 2nd position in June quarter, according to Grant Thornton's International Business Report.
