the UN in December 2000.
d. The
first World Refugee Day marked the 50th anniversary of the UN Refugee
Convention.

Intelligence, the health intelligence wing of the directorate general

recently released the National Health Profile 2018.

9.4% of its GDP to claim the top spot in the list, followed by Thailand (2.9%).
b. Low-income
nations like Bhutan and Nepal spend 2.5% and 1.1% of its GDP respectively on
public health, which is more than India's 1%, according to this
report.

parliament today voted in favour of a bill to legalise
recreational marijuana.

this, Canada becomes the first G7 nation to
legalise cannabis.

imposition of Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir with
immediate effect.

comes after the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti resigned
as the Chief Minister.

The Haryana government has
decided to introduce an environment-centric scheme, under
which school children will be given ₹50 for planting trees every six months for a period of
three years.
a. The
scheme will cover students from Classes 6 to 12 of both government and private
schools. It will be launched on July 10.

student, Anukreethy Vas, has been crowned Miss India
2018 at the 55th Femina Miss India 2018.

World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, who won the title last year, crowned Anukreethy,

list.

wealth has grown more than $5 billion since June 1 to beat Bill
Gates, the principal founder of Microsoft Corporation, who is the
second-richest man in the world with $92.9 billion.
