  • President Pranab Mukherjee launched IMPRINT India to boost research in the country. 
    • IMPRINT - Impacting Research Innovation and Technology 
    • IMPRINT India will focus on Ten themes with each to be coordinated by one IIT/IISc, namely
    • Health Care - IIT Kharagpur,
    • Computer Science and ICT – IIT Kharagpur,
    • Advance Materials – IIT Kanpur,
    • Water Resources and River systems – IIT Kanpur,
    • Sustainable Urban Design – IIT Roorkee,
    • Defence – IIT Madras,
    • Manufacturing – IIT Madras,
    • Nano-technology Hardware- IIT Bombay,
    • Environmental Science and Climate Change – IISc, Bangalore and
    • Energy Security – IIT Bombay.
  • On 6th november 2015 International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict was observedThis day was established on 5th November 2001 by the United Nations General Assembly, during Kofi Atta Annan's tenure as Secretary-General.
    • Aim of this day : To educate people about the damaging effects of war and armed conflict on the environment.
  • Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao is on a five-day visit to India. He held talks with Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • PM Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir. There he will inaugurate the 450 MW phase two Baglihar power project in Ramban.
  • A 25-year-old Prithika Yashini is all set to become India's first transgender Sub Inspector of Police soon.
  • In a landmark judgment, the Madras High court has cleared all the legal hurdles in her appointment. Earlier her application was rejected by the TNUSRB under the ground that she didn't come under given 'two categories', following which she moved the High Court.
  • For his contribution to Marathi Theater, Famous film, television and stage actor Vikram Gokhale has been honored with the prestigious Vishnudas Bhave Award .
  • Government is going to impose Swachh Bharat Cess of half a per cent (0.5 %) on all services liable for Service Tax from 15th of this month. All services, including air travel, telephony, eating out and banking will become expensive.Note : The additional cess would be over and above the 14 percent Service Tax rate which is already being levied and may yield the government an additional about Rs 400 crore during the remainder of the current fiscal.
  • After being on the run for the past 27 years, One of India's most-wanted criminals, underworld don Chhota Rajan was deported to India on 6th november 2015 from Indonesia by a joint team, headed by the Central Bureau of Investigation officials, to face trials in over 70 cases of murder, extortion and drug smuggling against him in Delhi and Mumbai.
  • Maldivian Vice President Ahmed Adeeb under arrest over an alleged attempt to assassinate President Abdulla Yameen was on 6th november 2015 impeached by the Parliament in an extraordinary session after approving the controversial 30-day state of emergency.
  • Heena Sidhu wins Gold medal in 10m air pistol women's event at the 13th Asian Shooting Championship in Kuwait City.
